Alex Deakin and Darren Bett do nearly all the forecasts on TV. There used to
be much more variety including Dan. Cost cutting no doubt.

Good.
I don't doubt his acumen as a professional meteorologist, but as a
presenter he was practically unwatcheable.

Now don't you start getting nasty about poor Carol, Duffel Coat!
She's by far the least irritating of the weatherforecasterettes.

Agreed. For one thing, she's the only forecaster I've heard who doesn't
insert a spurious "its way" or "their way" into almost every sentence.

Uggh, why do they do that? It's so annoying!

And therin lies the problem.
99.99% of viewers to the forecasts aren't 'weather people'.
They don't really care about isobars, occluded fronts or
orographic rainfall.
They just want to know whether to take a brolly or the
picnic hamper.
