Won't get much rain out of this one either by the looks of the radar,
but the light is certainly very poor for the time of day/year here in Southampton, particularly to the north, at almost three hours before sunset still. Without wishing to sound like I'm moaning too much, this particular system is certainly giving everyone *precisely* what they *don't need* - loads of rain in the recently-wet north, none down here but lots of grey cloud and unseasonably strong wind. Permission to be the first to use the "A" word? ;-) Nick |

No autumnal :-) Front passed over here around 1830, gloomy enough to turn the odd street light on but very little rain. Brightening to the NW now. Oh for a Continental climate... warm sunshine, winter snow and dramatic summer thunderstorms guaranteed... Nick |

CK If you read things like that in the paper it is always a good idea to go and verify it by looking on the Met Office site to be sure. It is not unknown for newspapers (mostly of the tabloid variety) to misinterpret, exaggerate or just completely get the wrong end of the stick with weather reports. |
