Default Monday was not grotty in Mid Suffolk

Weather lady on Anglia TV last evening stated that it had been a "grotty
Bank Holiday day", (and that was it for all of east Anglia) In central
Suffolk eastward the day was excellent. Too often any 'bad' weather is
attributed to a much larger area than it actually affects. As the program
came from Norwich she might have noted that it wasn't at all grotty there
for a good part of the day. I fear for the Eastern coastal resorts who must
have rated it a very good day.

The situation with a front to West not affecting us during daylight hours
was reminiscent of several summer days over the past two years, including
the barbecue Summer which proved pretty good for us.
Monday morning brought long sunny spells with only FEW/SCT SC. It was only
late afternoon that various cloud LYRS arrived with first rain here at
1745Z.

Breakfast and barbecue lunch in garden -Temp around 22C, was one of the
best days of the month. Admittedly it had chilled out by tea time!

A welcome 6.1mm of rain then arrived.

------------------
Same here - 22.8C sunny virtually all day then 1.5mm of rain in the
evening, which I would have liked to have been more. Missed the showers
today unfortunately.
