Managed 1.6 mm yesterday in a solitary shower around mid day then a pleasant
afternoon with plenty of sunshine and no more showers. Today variable cloud and good sunny spells until showers were seen all around from mid afternoon. Cascades of PPN in sight all around and a brilliant rainbow recently just to east, but not a spot of rain on me again! Here, 6 miles to east of Bury St. Edmunds, Last 10 days total 2.8mm to 0900Z this morning. Nearby Wattisham 3.3mm same period. Still the forecasters, in their current summaries refer to recent wet days, as though the whole country has been affected. NSS Mid Suffolk |

NSS Mid Suffolk ------------------ 16mm here for September which is pretty low. As with the last few days sunny most of the day here and feeling pleasantly warm at times after a chilly start. Max 20.4C Dave, S.Essex Th ground is getting pretty dry again now here in SE Essex. September/ October is the prime time for scarication and over seeding, I have done about 15 and have another 65+ to do by the end of October. I just hope any rain comes overnight or at the weekends (sorry), as a wet day stops me working for real. Trouble is, I need the rain to germinate the seed and I have a couple of locations I won't do until we have had some rain as they are far to bare and dry.
