Default Best place for The Annual Winter Snow Watch?

I have a confession to make.

I'm a lurker.

But that's not the confession.

My name is Nick Humphries, and I'm addicted to the Annual Winter Snow
Watch.

In previous years I've loved the Annual Winter Snow Watch, and following
Will Hand and other's thoughts on the chances of snow has been a real
treat, especially in the run-up the the snow events in '09 and '10.

Now that enjoyment has been spoiled by the sorts of enthusiasm-draining
behaviour you tend to find on unmoderated forums after a while, can
anyone recommend any other forums or forum threads which are similarly
enthusiastic snow watches?

There's The Weather Outlook (TWO):

http://theweatheroutlook.com/

But though their forum is moderated, there's still a lot of dross there
(or at least there was the last time that I looked, a couple of years
ago).

Is it possible to set up a killfile with your newsreader? If so, you
might be able to filter out most of the posters here whom you find
annoying (though there's one who continually morphs his identity,
sadly).

I've had a look many times but still cannot find anything to beat the
education provided on this forum, even after spending valuable time
judicially avoiding the detritus. The 'heads up' supplied by
contributors, advising about future weather events, is excellent and I
do my best to learn about out wonderful British weather.

Hi Nick
Here is one i dip into now and again
http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/7a1...8#entry2140878
Like all fora there is plenty of rubbish on there, however as winter
gets under way look for some/all of the following posters John Holmes,
Nick Sussex and oldmetman.
They give a balanced view of upcoming exciting weather events and they
do not constantly have a dig/snipe at other members for having a
particular favourite type of weather.
Also you wont find UKSW's self appointed "coldie" policeman there
either as he was banned a long time ago.
There is nothing wrong at looking/hoping for cold /snow, i know i do,
but then i also like intense heat - what does that make me? Bi-Polar?
Cheers

Just out of interest, what is a "self appointed "coldie" policeman"?

Ha!

That made me smile

I often describe myself as an extreme weather addict.

Extreme heat
Extreme cold
20M vis fog
50mm rain (I live in the South east - 50mm is extreme!!)
60+Kn wind

I love them all.

What I really dislike is the gloomy, 10DegC, 5Kn wind, overcast November
gloom. It's "nothing" weather.

Does that make me "multi-polar"?

Cheers

I'm not sure who you are referring to here?

I can't believe Will would be banned from anywhere. However, if you are
referring to the pillock living East of Will, your comments would make
more sense!!!!???
