For some years I have kept a monthly/yearly colour coded table that I
can scroll up and down and try to find similar months for temperature and rainfall. The colour coding has blue for temperature 1°C below the average, red, for 1°C above the average. Rainfall, yellow, 50% below average, green, 50% above average. I've made some assumptions for October but I have an almost identical set of 4 months from July through to October as 1978. It would be intersting if a similar pattern was in areas to the NW of the UK. But when I then look at the following winter of 1979 ALL three months January, February & March were below the 1°C average. This is not a prediction, just an observation, but thought I would share this with you. Incidentally, November 1978 was again mild and dry, December was then average. 79/79 was an amazing winter ,which came in like a lion the last week of
November when that month looked like it was gonna break the above average temp by a margin. Bob Prichard was on Radio London in those days and predicted the cold onset very well ,no five day forecasts in those days.......... RonB "Lawrence13" wrote in message ... Your observations are interesting and worthy of comment.
But go on - make a prediction. |
