Default Alarming chart for end of November

The GFS prog for 30th Nov looks vicious.
I hope it is just an out and outliar.

Not at the moment Len - are you looking at a previous run?

Presumably that was the 00Z run. Looking now at the 06Z it looks
anything but vicious. But at 16 days out, it's long odds against the GFS
operational run bearing much resemblance to what will actually happen.

Yep, that was the for 00Z.
Thank goodness for that.
06Z is far nicer.
Those forecasts out that far should carry a health warning.

Thanks James

cheers

Wouldn't it be a bit of an insult to our collective weather group
intelligence if they did?

The health warning suggestion was a light hearted joke.
I apologise for not including a smiley to make it more obvious.

Alarming chance of near-normal temps and clean polar air? ;-)

(just kidding - I realise you were referring to an earlier one, though
I personally would welcome that 06Z...)

Given that the wetterzentrale chart links will always be out of date
in under 6 hours - here's the 00z run:
