OK. I'm getting old, I'm turning senile, and probably dementia is settling
in from the south-west. And worst of all, my memory has blown away like the
leaves off the trees.

When everyone uses this group, could you please include you location in with
your signature? I can't remember where everyone lives, and the number of
occasional posters just compound the issue. Please, town, county, even a
general compass point would be helpful in trying to work out where the
weather you describe is occurring. That way I can see if it's sort of
anywhere near here.

You are right of course and we are all getting old. However I can
forgive the odd slip from Graham, who has been posting for years with
his location, almost to the point where I sometimes fall asleep with
Graham, Weston Coyney, North Staffs, ringing in my ears ;-)

I've just had a nice stroll down your street courtesy of Google
Street View.
Seriously though, it's probably not a good idea to give such
detailed information regarding where you live.

From someone else who lives in your county, you should know that it's
pronounced locally as "Suarray", although the perfect pronunciation is
difficult to achieve with a large plum in your mouth!!

WRT the OP, yes, I agree, I am getting old and do forget so if people
would be good enough to append their approximate locations, I'd
appreciate it too.

Surely it's Surreh. It certainly is round here, to distinguish
us from the riff-raff the other side of the road in the London Borough
of Croydon.
Seriously, this is a good idea. There are few things more
irritating than to read a post describing the weather and having to
mutter "Yeah, where?"
