Default HELP - British rainfall Guides

Could any kind soul help me with a few quick(ish) facts from the
British rainfall guides - whilst I have some info' I am missing a few
years worth of data which I need for a compilation of local historical
weather.
Any help at all is greatly appreciated:

circa 1875 - 1881
1.) Crosby Ravensworth - Reagill (WestmoreIand) - I have the data for
1882-1889 (when I believe the data ends) but now believe that reports
were submitted at least back to 1875/6
can anyone supply the yearly rainfall/rain days for 1875-1881 and
confirm the year in which the first entry appears
the observer is a Mr. Wilkinson whom i believe was the school master

2.) Crosby Ravensworth 1946-48 - I have the yearly rainfall amounts,
but would like to know the name of the observer and if anything more
specific on location.

3.) Morland (westmoreland) - I believe that records cover the period
1902-42 and am missing data for: 1903/04/05, 1910, 1912 and 1916
i believe that the observer was a Mr F. Markham (1918 was a Miss
Markham) and back to Mr. Markham in 1934-6 - maybe he was just missing
in the war years?)

many thanks to anyone who can help.

the rainfall guides are really a great read - just so bloody difficult
to aquire.

Have you tried the Met Office Library?
http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/learning/library
It is open to everyone.

Cheers, Alastair.

British Rainfall 1947 simply says R.Eden Catchment Board 5"d, 1'rim agl
and rain gauge 612'asl.

Will give you historical station details.

Try your luck on Google Books as well. I found some of the Symon's
series on that.

(Apologies if formatting is odd - I've yet to kick Thunderbrird out of
the window)
