All March there was no snow here (ok, I was away for one
week, so can't ay for shure then). When Easter started we then actually got 40 cm of snow, which went away in a forthnight. This morning it was actually snowing again!! Probably ten years in between snowing this late in spring. Mind you, in 2004 it was actually snowing the 21st of May! That is very unusual! The max level of snow was between 5-10 cm earlier today, now a bit of thaw, but still a good snowcover. Min temp today 0.7 C max 4.0 C. The coming week is going to much warmer it seems, that is - the first part of it. Lasr part seems cold. Maybe we can reach 20C?, so far this year not over 15C, so quite low max tempertures, but gererally a quite mild winter with little snow. Here is a couple of newspaper articles on todays snowfall: http://www.mre.no/5038411.o2.html http://www.smp.no/nyheter/article455461.ece Bjørn Sørheim, in Norway 62.2N, 6.2E |

Colin Youngs Brussels That is very easy to explain. The local newspaper in my hometown is actually the first norwegian newspaper on the net that requires payment to read the articles! One can read 5 articles from a computer for free, that is all. After that no more... It was actually also the last norwegian newspaper to leave the 'offset' format and change to the 'tabloid' format. This was after it was bought up by a newspaper chain. It was also one of the last (the last?) norwegian newspaper to go on the net. When it finally went on the net one is required to pay for it. Talking about being backwards and ackward!! And you have to pay full price even if you are a subscriber to the paper version. I really hope they go bankrupt - seriously! Concernig weather: 8 cm snow lying at midnight. 54 mm precipitation today! Now 1.6C, Max today 4.0 C, min 0.7 C. Bjørn Sørheim 62.2 N 6.2 E |
