Synops and other summaries, since about 28th May this year? Sorry if

==================

It closed on 28 May. Apparently the site owner did not renew the lease
to the Met Office.

.... BTW, I understand that there will be a (initially partial)
replacement 'real soon now' to the west of Ringway; whether the SYNOP
leaks out to the wider world remains to be seen.

The site is/was owned by BAE and their facilities have now closed. The
whole site, 250ha in total is due for redevelopment.

Thanks Martin and all, that's rather sad, as it was when the Ringway
site closed, it doesn't help the long term records one litle bit.

I'm already wondering what will happen when Solent MRSC and some of
the other coastguard stations close over the next couple of years, I
hope the MO are making arrangements to replace them by something
nearby.
