All because of the olympics the weather for the week ahead as been
missing from the BBC. The last one was on the 22nd July. :-(

Wrong actually. It was yesterday at 3.35 on BBC2. Sandwiched between
Olympics 2012 (which finished early and the fill-in was a bit of
Coast) and Flog It!
You had to search for it I agree.
But it is there listed in the Radio Times.

Basically there is going to a be a bit of wind up the Channel on
Wednesday, but not a hurricane as the lady on the phone was worried
about.

.... not missing entirely: last Sunday (12th) it was on in the middle of
the afternoon but not as part of Countryfile.
