Default Dartmoor's very quiet

What's happened to Will? After all his grumbling about the rotten
weather he's been experiencing (well what does he expect living up
there?), I can't find one single utterance from him today. I hope he
hasn't been washed away together with his vegetable patch.

Jim, I'm not well. I had a very nasty fall out walking on Sunday, badly
gashed the front of my head requiring 15 stitches. I'm up and about again
now. I was medivaced off dartmoor, the paramedics and Dartmoor Rescue and
all the Staff at Exeter A&E were marvellous! Pity the helicopter couldn't
land else I would have got a ride. I'm still a bit weak, but I'll be back.
Apart from cuts and brusies I'm fine, but it was a close call.

You should never have left the southeast mate, the highest point around here
is the kerb outside of Sainsburys which can be quite tricky in the fog .

Sorry to hear about this Will, trust you're making a good recovery.
Shows how much care we all have to make on the moors if someone like you
with your experience should have such an accident.

Cheers

But you could always climb ladders, and fall off them, like I did with a
bump!

Yeah speedy recovery Will. I read somewhere that the most dangerous
place in the house are the stairs, has it's like falling down a crevice.

Yes, with ladders I'm a bit like that guy in the BT ad - I start
twitching on the bottom rung. Anyway, I don't need the help of ladders
or moors to go base over apex. Last time, a couple of winters back, it
was a tiny patch of ice on a footbridge which led to my downfall and
my bonce hitting said bridge with a resounding clang. Head was sore
for 2-3 months.

Glad to hear you're in one piece, Will. You'll have to learn to take
it easier now you're in the autumn of your years.
