Saturday - feeling very chilly with showers first thing. A couple of mile inland from the coast (where I live) there were small amounts of lying snow and it looked like a little more was lying on the hills to the west of Durham. A brighter and drier afternoon, although rain had returned by late evening.
Sunday has started off with showers and mostly overcast, although the temperature appears to have recovered somewhat and is currently hovering around 10C.
