Default Weather for the next couple of weeks

After a slightly milder spell at the start of next week it looks to be
on the cool to cold side, with a slight risk of snow almost anywhere.
But in general the different models are currently throwing up any
solution you care to name for following week from deep lows to intense
highs so anything is possible really weatherwise.

Ensembles keep it cold. As I said in my summary, basically nothing zonal and
I still expect to see tangerine snow warnings this week. Devil is in the
detail.

The Saturday Telegraph has an article claiming the Met Office have seen
a Strat warming event in a week's time and are going for much colder
weather thereon.

To my untrained eye the ensembles are completely spread for the week
after next. As I said, on the cold side but nothing unusual showing up
yet for December.

I missed that.

The models seem to have been flirting with bringing in easterlies
anywhere between about 7 to 14 days out, but they don't agree on the
timing which in any case keeps changing from run to run.

From the output it seems we're likely to get a 'battle of Britain' scenario with a wide spread in temps. If the east stays in the cold zone I won't be complaining
