Default Storms losing intensity?

Been watching the developments in NW France and the stuff crossing the
channel now appears to be rapidly losing it's intensity, I presume it will
recharge it's batteries when it hits the land/

Looking SW from Worthing the sky is now dark and quite threatening at 14.00.
