Thunder Guildford 1239z
Torrential shower 1235~1245. Single flash and fairly loud clap of thunder at 1239. Interesting that a car alarm started sounding about 5 seconds before the lightning.
Just had wet bike ride from Guildford to Runfold, Tilford and Elstead. Fairly severe flooding at Elstead and floodwater was 25 cm deep in Fullbrook Lane. Caught in torrential downpour at Shackleford 0600~0700. 2014 so far: 1st; 30.7 mm, 2nd; 8.0 mm and 3rd; 1.5 mm (from thundery shower). Guy. Guildford. |
