Default Captured footage of weather events in 2014

Hi all,

Glad I came across this place.

My name's Dan and I'm a producer for a documentary production company called Arrow Media. We're currently producing a programme for a major UK terrestrial channel about the weather in Britain that we've experienced in 2014 - everything and anything.

We're hoping to feature as much incredible and outstanding footage submitted by the public as possible. Hence, why I'm here and wondering if you guys had by some chance captured any of the weather events in 2014 on video - this could have been of something you experienced first hand or just a clip you've come across and thought 'wow! I must share this clip with a stranger asking for video clips on my forum!'

We're going wide, so anything from the Winter Storms, the subsequent flooding in places like Dawlish, Cornwall and Wraysbury, ex-hurricane Bertha, some of the sudden hailstorms during March, coastlines crumbling due to stormy seas, the slightly incredible number of sinkholes that have been opening up.... the list goes on.

If you'd like to share anything with us, please get in touch with me either on this forum or at , and we can get talking from there.

Thank you!

Why does this sound suspiciously like one of those American programmes that introduce a large percentage of waffle for every "entertaining" trip down memory lane?

Oh Listserv, whatever happened to you?

Welcome Dan. Just be careful when mentioning Dawlish on here.

Dan, two things please.

1. Pitch the programme at an audience with an IQ higer than 50, it'll
mean the programme is of better quality than Horizon (BBC).

2. Don't split the narrative into chunks so there has to be time lost
with internal repeats. This is particularly notable on commercial
broadcasters.
