After the previous day's records in eastern Spain, it was the turn of Malaga on the south coast
to register a new all-time max for October, beating a record that had stood since 1952.

As in the case of Valencia on 21st, the cause was a hot African air mass combined with winds
from the inland mountains descending to sea-level.
