I keep a record of Ben-Gurion Int (Israel) and the last 4 days they had
104mm (4") of rain and the month now stands at 310.9mm (12.24"), must be
quite rare?

Yes, some whole years have had less rain that that, and the highest
annual rainfall figure that I could find was only 774.96mm:

The average monthly rainfall for November is just under 50mm:

Have to say that I initially misread this as Gazza (the headline could
equally have applied).
