Default Southern forecasts are way out

I know its only the BBC but yesterday on SE Today the weather person was saying how nice it was for us all to enjoy the warm sunshine on Sunday? Er not sure where but just west of Brighton sunshine was just under 17 minutes and the temp just managed to drag itself to an amazing 8.3 in a very cool wind.

This morning on the same programme there was talk of 'A lovely sunny morning' and it feeling very Spring like in the sunshine?
Again here there have been very brief glimpses of the sun but still almost full cloud cover at 13.30 in the afternoon.

I often wonder why they even bother as its of no use to man nor beast.

Rant over.

Trouble is there is a lack of consistency between different presenters
and on different programmes. They have been slightly optimistic with
their forecasts for the last couple of days but those comments didn't
even reflect most of the forecasts which implied a few short sunny spells.
