I should keep quiet and just be thankful someone was paying attention. You wouldn't believe how many wet sheep have ignored their responsibilities in the far east. It isn't as if nothing ever happens there. |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- My brother-in-law had his left knee done, went fine but now he needs his right knee doing. Too much rugby when he was younger. Was yours housemaid's knee? i.e too much kneeling? Glad to hear the NHS got round to helping you Dave. Take the exercises gently and you'll be fine. Get out and take some of that bracing Essex air. Len Wembury, SW Devon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My wife would say I'd make a very bad House Maid Len! No - early football injuries and playing all types of sport till I was sixty. Not good for joints but at least my BP is 120/70 ! NHS was great - had to smile ironically when I had a white British surgeon from Wolverhampton ! But this was followed by brilliant multinational multi-ethnic nurses, doctors and technicians all who spoke perfect English although there was one rather attractive Irish nurse whose accent I struggled with slightly :-). We will be finished without them. I used to work for a trendy multi racial lefty organisation. I remember telling my Mum about one of their 'Do's' I'd just gone to. "What was it like?" "It was nice mum they had a great ethnic mix" " Aww that's nice, but I can't eat that stuff it gives me indigestion." |

As a few members kindly wished me good luck for my knee op in December which was cancelled due to a minor heart problem I though I would let you know that on Saturday I had a total knee replacement done. Came home yesterday which was amazing and seems to have gone well as I can walk on crutches already. Cheers, Dave --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus You know I remember my Dad havin' his knee done, way back in the early sixties in SE London. That more tan likely caused your knee problem. By the way Dave was it you that once lived in Brockley? |

Couldn't resist a political swipe eh? ----------------------------------------------- Like I said before, I won't bow down and appease the likes of Jumper on here or elsewhere and the irony was striking although in fact it was mainly a thank you to the NHS. But don't you see, you are part of the problem by not ignoring "Jumper"? Every time you reply it feeds his ego and fires him up even more. If you cannot killfile him then at least ignore him like most of us do. Ignoring is not bowing down or appeasing. Will -- " Some sects believe that the world was created 5000 years ago. Never appease. Dave's right. Just tell him he's a racist, but say no more. It's enough that he knows that you know. Don't say anything and you are effectively supporting him and his foul kind.. Stand up and be counted, instead of being a coward and saying nothing. Remember Pastor Martin Niemöller's words; they ring very true here. 'First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.' Have the courage to speak up against the racists, wherever you find them: don't stay silent. No one's coming for anyone you demented moron, except the Torbay Psychiatric services for you. Community care eh? More out than in me old dad used to say. |
