Default Climate Change is no more

Or to be more accurate,
The Department of Energy and Climate Change is no more in Theresa May's government.

It is replaced by Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, headed by Greg Clark.
Climate Change is still part of the department, but has it been demoted?

Oh good dry sheep?

GCHQ must have learned something; maybe they could have saved an exmetman from a little bother if they had been told?

"I am thrilled to have been appointed to lead this new department charged with delivering a comprehensive industrial strategy, leading government’s relationship with business, furthering our world-class science base, delivering affordable, clean energy and tackling climate change."

So how does that work with only 75%?

One storm per year in China doesn't sound too bad until you consider the climate with the date; Stooop-iiid.

Trump's Mussolini with the same set-up vis vis comparative defence forces with Britain ready to string fascist up by the ankles after 13 years of war.

But what are you doing back here, or won't they let you talk freely in the other place?

Not that I mind but the fly-blown rest of your flock is still up to it's old antics. Maybe god is keeping him here where he can ask questions only the regulars know how to answer?

What do you think?

As a small department - only a Secretary of State (was Amber Rudd), and
two ministers of state (Andrea Leadsom & Lord Bourne) - it was merged
with a restructured Business Department in order to free a Cabinet
position for the new Brexit minister. There is a limit on the number of
Cabinet Ministers - mainly, the governing party can not pay more than
~25. Other lower level ministers are allowed to attend meetings, but
cannot vote and don't get paid extra.

The old BIS (Business, Innovation & Skills) has lost some of its
responsibilities to the Education Department, but previously it
had 5 ministers of state and 2 junior ministers. It may therefore
be able to have a Climate Change minister in the next day or so.

I suppose the new BEIS Department head, Greg Clark, will have the CC
brief in Cabinet. The role that Amber Rudd had before yesterday.

The Met Office came under BIS.

You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

But Will,
It has ceased to be,
It's expired
It's no more
It's an ex-department.

It has gone to meet its maker,
It's kicked the bucket, it's shuffled off it's mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir on the backbenches!

Alastair and others are PINING.
BEIS is hardly a replacement,
It don't talk....
