Those with an interest in tropical cyclones may find the following site useful
http://www.emc.ncep.noaa.gov/gc_wmb/vxt/HWRF/index.php Not a lot going on at the moment, though cyclone 'Varda' could be packing quite a punch when it makes landfall in India in a few days. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org @TideswellWeathr |

Nice one. And here's another one. http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/TC.html -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks. I like the various archive & date choice buttons on the left. Graham Penzance (thick fog - still mustn't grumble, it has been nice http://www.sennen-cove.com/imdec16.htm ) |

Particularly interesting is the Surface chart under the heading Storm Scale. It's only model output, of course, but it does give something of a feel for the wind distribution. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org @TideswellWeathr |

The number of anticyclone centres in the North Atlantic is interesting and will cycle though the Arctic evenutally becoming pertinent. Meantime for thos with an interest in serial storms: http://ds.iris.edu/seismon/? Finding the distance to the following storms will secure a forecast for the next runs. |
