Dear Editor,

It’s no surprise that the Labour party has lost the Copeland seat that
it held for 82 years, and its vote was well down in Stoke Central. What
the Labour militants don’t comprehend is that the membership of the
Labour party aren’t representative of the general population. In
fact they are light years apart. The militants can elect Jeremy Corbyn
or another socialist / communist, all they like as leader of the Labour
party. But, what the menagerie of misfits that control the Labour
party don’t realise is that we are all capitalists now! It’s all about
how a governing party manages a capitalist economy that matters. Even
the Chinese have a capitalist economy.

When Corbyn says he’ll turn the Tory tide, I find it a sick joke. Jeremy
Corbyn may come over to some people, particularly the young, as a wise
grandfather type figure. However, he is a contemptible man that
shouldn’t be anywhere near the leadership of the Labour party. Jeremy
Corbyn objected to the Northern Ireland peace process that brought ‘The
Troubles’ to an end. I will never vote for an IRA sympathiser, which
wished the IRA to come to England and murder innocent English people.

The Labour party are in a very perilous situation. I disagree with Gavin
Williamson MP that says the Labour party are a mickey mouse party. The
Labour party are a dead man walking. The militants in the Labour party
wish to take full control of the party, at the cost of making the Labour
party a minor unelectable party. The Labour party have no chance of
winning over the soft Tories that live in urban areas, which they need
for the Labour party to be in government. The unions started the Labour
party at the beginning of the 20th century. If the unions still support
the militants in the Labour party with Corbyn as Labour leader, or
someone of his ilk at the general election 2020, the unions will destroy
the Labour party.
