OK you all win I'm leaving this place for good now; goodbye UseNet. The last
straw was David Costigan (Johnny Knowall) accusing me of lying. If I cannot put
up observations as an ex-professional observer without getting shot down or
worse accused of lying then this place is no longer for me. I'm sure many of
you will be glad given the frosty response I have had of late, so you no longer
have to ignore me, I'm leaving for good. Been on here since 1996, so 22 years,
ah well! If you really do want to keep track of what is going on in Haytor then
look in on UK Weatherworld, www.ukweatherworld.co.uk I'm a regular poster in
there. But beware if you want to cause mischief, the group is moderated. So bye
bye all then, no more posts from me now on here for ever.

Oh dear.
There are few things on Usenet more nauseating than 'the leaving
speech'. A self-indulgent rant blaming everybody but themselves for
their demise.
It's not even the first time he's flounced like this either.
Pathetic.

Do n't take it so hard Will.
There will always be weird people who tend to wind others up on these discussion groups.
I look at ukweather world sometimes and I notice that guy who calls himself Village can be quite annoying.
