uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged. |

I don't usually pay too much attention to model predictions more than a
couple of days ahead but this one caught my attention this evening. https://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingd...well/long.html It predicts a continuous freeze here for the next 10 days. If it verified it would be a truly remarkable spell of weather. As far as I know, it's based on the ECMWF operational run. Ensembles might paint a very different picture. Certainly a good freeze this evening. Currently -7.3° with the wind gusting over 30 knots. Most certainly 'bitter'. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

It even has snow for us on Saturday. No other model predicts this. https://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingd...outh/long.html Len Wembury |
