I happen to hear the Talksport news at midnight last night on the radio and they had Piers on saying something about the present weather.
They introduced him as Piers Corbyn from the Met Office. Has he become the new Chief Exec.? Len Wembury |

They introduced him as Piers Corbyn from the Met Office. Has he become the new Chief Exec.? It sounds as though the presenter shared what I suspect is a common misconception, that anyone who attempts to forecast the weather must be from the Met Office. Did Piers correct him? -- John Hall "Hegel was right when he said that we learn from history that man can never learn anything from history." George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) |
