don't show it why not?

The BBC TV forecasts still show cloud and, despite my dodgy eyesight, I
can tell the difference between cloudy and sunny areas quite easily.

The colour display of the monitors and TVs I use vary quite a bit and I
wonder if the display you are using is not as effective at
distinguishing between the cloudy and sunny areas on the green
background as it did with brown.

[Your sig starts with '---' instead of '-- ' which means that it is not
recognised as a sig by newsreaders. Could you please correct that?]

Whether the old TV (I bought another last night) or my high def PC
monitor on the web graphics I can't see where its sunny it seems to rain
with a small amount of cloud around it then vast areas whiuch I can't
believe are all sunshine.
Not sure what you mean re sig but will try and work out.

The 'sig' (above) is being added automatically by Avast. Unless you
really want it you can simply switch it off by opening the Avast user
interface, selecting 'settings' and switching off the 'Enable Avast
email signature' option. Note that it is sometimes reset when Avast is
updated.

You need to switch off the Avast signature.

1. Right-click on the Avast icon in your system tray and select “Open
Avast user interface”

2. Click the gear icon at the top right to go to
Avast's settings.

3. Under General, uncheck “Enable Avast email
signature”
