Interesting how this will pan out, I'm supposed to be taking a 23.00 Friday evening ferry from Dover to Dunkirk! I wil keep tabs on this one :-)

MetO is now giving it 938mB midday tomorrow, when was the last time
there was something similar within 10 degrees of the UK , particularly
near 50N rather than a more understandable 60N

Going by Irish records, looks as though you have to go back 80 years for
a similar low at 50N, near us
