Default Pz - Now the lowest October minimum on record.

After the lowest maximum on record on 27th, it was rather warmer yesterday, with a maximum of 11.1C.

Last night it dropped to 0.5C, beating my previous October record of 1.1C on 21st Oct 2010. Just inland at Bosullow there was an air frost. The breeze was perfectly aligned with the peninsula.

The mean temp here is set to end up just below normal, I wouldn't have predicted that 10 days ago.

Still, much less breeze this morning, and sunshine.

Despite plenty of sunshine (until 14:30 that is - http://www.sunrecorder.net/googlemap...serial=1000 5 ) & light winds,
another distinctly chilly day. Maximum of 10.3C, almost a degree down on yesterday when it reached 11.2C.

October sunshine now above normal both at Camborne & Bosullow (126 hours).

It fell to -3.1 here, easily the coldest October night in my records (since 1996).

The sharp of sight might have noticed a discrepancy in my Max temperature for yesterday. "Was it 11.1 or 11.2?" I hear you say.

It was 11.1

A fairly rare October air frost here today with -0.1C. Did a bit of
scraping of ice off the windscreen this morning. Something I normally
don't do until well into November or even December.

A maximum of 11.7C here today with cloudless skies and unbroken sunshine
all day. Sunshine total now at 150 hours, so definitely into the sunny
category.

Going off chilly with another frost possible though if that land breeze
sparks up again, it might just stave off another air frost.

Monthly mean temperature anomaly now just +0.1C, though the mean maximum
temperature is still above normal at 16.7C.
