Default Penzance 13C @ 09:00

Real springlike morning after an overnight minimum of 10.7C. The onshore F3-4 breeze will prevent the temperature climbing much here, but it will be interesting to see what north coast places reach.

The great surf continues, tomorrow could be excellent.

Could do with a period of calmer seas soon, to allow the beach level to recover a bit. These long period swells tend to strip the sand from the top of the beach.

Despite yesterdays prolonged sunshine, the onshore breeze kept the temperature steady, just 13C much of the day. Max 13.7C

The MetO forecast shows cloud for Penzance, but it's been sunny since 08:00, the low cloud staying east of the Lizard, which provides a nice windbreak & cloud dispersent in the current ESE. Even up on the moors unbroken sunshine since 08:30 http://www.greatbosullow.net/ Very hazy though.

Another great day of surf https://magicseaweed.com/Live-Sennen-Webcam/65/ (see 11:37 image)

Has there ever been a February half term this good?

Newquay today

Big & dangerous, the biggest wave on The Cribbar at Fistral this year.

Lovely & sunny in N & W Cornwall, low cloud near the south coast east of Falmouth, but sunniest day of the year so far in the far SW. Air full of salt spray though.
