The Met Office forecast for tonight (Saturday night) for SE England
includes: "A much cooler night than recent ones. Minimum temperature 10
°C."

It's not encouraging if they can't get the immediate past weather right!

Good point John. The 10C was not far out. They've mixed up the UK-wide temp difference between the two nights and assumed it applied to the SE. Sat night was rather colder than previous nights in East Anglia and the Thames Valley but the same in SE England. Frittenden in Kent was 9.2C , a chilly rural spot at night, slightly milder. Coldest elsewhere Alice Holt Lodge (Farnham) 8.0C and in East Anglia, the frost hollow of Santon Downham was 5.4C. Below 10C in parts of London - my local site in Teddington was 9.3 instead of 9.4C - but that's on the edge of Bushy Park.

I would imagine your local area around Cranleigh would be chilly on calm, clear nights so a pity there are no local observations.
