The latest update I have just seen on Anglia Weather is for gusts 70 to
90mph, mostly very much in the south around the M4 and south of that. It wasn't terribly specific. There is still another full 24 hours to go, i.e. plenty of time for things to go either way before a more comprehensive severe weather warning is issued. -- ************************************************** ************************** ************************************************** * Gavin Staples. website updated regularly www.gavinstaples.com For the latest lecture in the Darwin Lecture Series in Cambridge, please click on my site, and then click on the Darwin Lecture series link. Global models are very coarse, as you can imagine, the mesoscale should help give that ever important detail. Joe |

Joe Joe Remember that the Mesoscale Model is fed by data from the Global Model, so in a fast moving situation errors in the Global Model fields to the west of the UK will also be apparent in the Meso model... thats the problem when one higher resolution model feeds off data from another model.
