I do agree with you Gary - all the hype for days now not only from the MO but many 'so called experts' on this ng .A little rain this am, no wind to speak of and now the sun is shining A very POOR show by all those F/Casters from the MO and others (incl those on this ng, many who appear to be ex-MO bods) All those involved should have lotsa egg all over their faces It may help if somebody in the know (if there is anybody) to give a detailed but a NOT an 'over blown' technical explanation as to what didn't happen Vs what was F/casted - something we can all read and understand - anybody got the 'balls' to do that ? The track of the low has *always* been open for dicussion and the warnings mentioned this. Of course the mejia only report the headline grabbing big figures and ignore such critical facts. -- Cheers Dave. pam is missing e-mail |

Don't forget all the hype here on this ng Dave - only have to look at all the postings referring to this. As far as the MO is concerned, they 'call it out' and it doesn't happen and then again they DON'T 'call it out' and it happens - as somebody else on another posting in this ng put it, not much has changed since 1987 but we have spent probably £billions on the MO None Event |

pay money, and go elsewhere in the world to find interesting weather
these days i pulled back my curtains this morning and saw the rain hitting my window, which faces north, and a very light breeze i'm a weather enthusiast, and severe weather does claim lives, it's a fact. lots of people would say "phew i'm glad it didn't happen" it would be a very sterile, and it would be very boring if the weather didn't really do anything for much of the time. Months and Months of boring conditions throughtout the summer, even winds touching on gale force seems to be elusive throughout the entire 'winter' season Two frost nights so far this 'winter' and not a single sign of wintry precip I mean should we seriously think about, let's not call it 'winter' anymore? April-October = Summer November-April = Autumn that's it, two seasons now "Gary [Torquay]" wrote in message ... Well, Look what happed.... WARNINGS from Friday, Will back it up. Our climate isn't called temperate for nothing..... |
