Nice pics but it's far from a whiteout.

Where in Powys are you? It's snowing here in northeast Ceredigion at
the moment but it's struggling to settle, with the temperature at +1.0C.

Sudden decrease in temperatu 0.4C at 12:30 and the snow is starting to
settle. Looks like I'll be getting my sledge out after all (so much for
working at home today...)

Steady snow all morning; I hear the higher roads round here have been
blocked.

We have also had some snow (western end of the Brecon Beacons) but it
has been patchy. We are at 235m and have a light covering. I have just
been out and 2 miles away (at the same height) there was no sign of snow
and it was raining. Areas some miles to the north look much whiter but I
did not go close to them. I found no roads that were even close to being
blocked.

Report from my sister of an inch of snow in Lampeter but it then turned
to rain.

It is certainly very patchy. It has just started snowing very heavily so
I have my fingers crossed. The shame is that I cannot see the top of our
mountain due to low cloud but I would expect it to be completely white
by now.

Went driving up a mountain in Snowdonia today (not to chase snow!). Snow
had started to settle at about 450m asl, got to where I was going (550m,
1800ft) and it was snowing heavily (2cm thickness), 2pm, temp -0.5C.
