Sudden and very noticeable increase in speed of gusts here around 22.45

That weather system was really fast moving. After a little snow, and
some heavy rain, the wind soon moderated here. When I looked out after
midnight the sky was clear apart from ragged cloud. We have blue sky and
sunshine this morning, and what I would call a stiff breeze - I was
surprised as I didn't expect it to clear until later today.
