Probably longer than that here, after we'd got the washing in and I'd
stopped trying to change a fuse on the Octavia. Intense while it lasted
in Godalming.

CU to our north or NE most impressive.

It came over pretty black looking here in Wokingham, but we just got a brief
fall of snow pellets at 1540. I think the heavier stuff was to the east.

Very similar in Cranleigh, with 5-10 minutes of heavy snow, though it
didn't get here till about 4pm. As always seems to happen, it was just
starting to settle when it stopped snowing.

I went for a walk this afternoon most of which was at around 150 to 200
metres on the North Downs and had to shelter in the porch of St.Mary's
Church, Chipstead when a heavy snow shower from an impressive Cb reduced
visibility to around 400 metres 15.30hrs. It produced a cover on the Downs
above 150 metres and was the heaviest snow over the past week. In spite of
the strong rise of pressure at around 1025 millibars during the afternoon it
is ironic that little snow fell last week when the pressure was a low as 999
millibars. In my area the heaviest snow showers often occur when the wind
comes in from the north east as this afternoon not from the north west as
last week.

Had more snow about 2200-ish - lying on pavements, black were traffic
has driven.
