I though that name was obsolete now seeing as there isn't a station anywhere
else in Farnborough, and South Farnborough isn't a place at all?

Fair point, but AFAIK it's still listed as South Farnborough (in its various
guises) :-

Yes, even Plymouth WC got a mention earlier !

The reference to London was changed but most of the others weren't,
puzzling.

Out of interest Martin, do you know where the Norwich station is located
now?

I think the equipment at the old Met Office site was removed some time ago

That's 2pm to 3pm BST then. Thank goodness that lot all missed Old
Trafford!

A rather strange day here. Pleasant in the morning with some sun,
then for about 20 mins from 12.30 a shower appears out of nowhere
with absolutely torrential rain with thunder then disappearing off
again to return to pleasant weather with some sun, as if nothing
had ever happened. Now skies clearing.
