Default Tornado in Norfolk

No, not one of those from Marham - a real one:

.... and yes, I'm afraid our friends at the EDP did use the "M" word -
shame on them.

Also, I was out for a ride this morning, and on the lane from Castle
Acre to West Acre, I noticed clear evidence of a significant rainfall
event - large quantities of gravel and soil on the road that in one
place was so deep, I had to get off the bike and walk around it.

There were also some pretty large flints in the road which clearly could
only have got there with the aid of a large quantity of water.
All this was on a stretch of road about 2 miles long - everywhere else
seemed pretty clear. The geography along there does lend itself to field
runoff, but it was the sheer quantity that caught my eye. I hadn't been
aware of it raining that much...

Bit like the use of the "H" word in another place, Chris ;-)

I've seen a couple of interesting events in Norfolk. T'other half & I witnessed
a small touch-down on fields to the north of the A47 outside King's Lynn and
I've seen a quite large and very black funnel cloud snake down from a
thunderstorm over Dereham. I'm glad it didn't touch down as it would have been
*nasty*

Also the occasional dust devil across ploughed fields in hot weather.

Cheers.
