Default Display Local Temperature on taskbar

Is there a freeware which displays current outside local
temperature (selected UK sites) constantly on the taskbar?

Wetsock at http://www.robomagic.com/wetsock.htm is very good.

The free version is limited to one or two sites I think.

Many thanks for the suggestions posted here in response to
my quest for a taskbar weather indicator. Currently I have
settled for "AmbientWeather" and will try it out for some
time. It looks promising.

If you use the Mozilla Firefox browser there is a free extension that
does just that called "Weatherfox" - gets its data from the
WeatherChannel.

currently showing Nottingham as Light Rain Shower 14C, Wind S27 km/h.
plus same detail in forecasts for Sat and Sun.

I tried it, didn't like it.

Please. How do I now get rid of it?

Hi Jack,

I found my self in the same situation of not liking it, especially since
the number of UK locations is limited. It's pretty easy to remove
though ..... click on 'tools' at the top of the screen, then
'extensions', and then simply select the extension you want to remove.

Regards,

Ian Sutherland

Just by coincidence I noticed such a thing on my new installation of
Mandrake 10.1 Community (Linux of course ) the other day. I think it
was called kweather (I'm on a different computer now, only running
Mandrake 9.1 and it's not on here). I tried configuring it but it failed
to get the data when I entered the station code for Trawsgoed - my
local station. I didn't try any others though.

Of course, being Linux, it's free
