so active - we have had some pretty heavy bursts in the last half hour. Dorian. A good question. It started raining here in Warlingham at 3 a.m. this morning and for about 15 minutes it was bordering on heavy. I measured 6.0 mm this morning. There was no temperature change and very little wind. The weather is now dull and misty, temperature 10°C. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, NE Surrey, 556 ft. |

Its roughly ties in with an area of PVA moving NW across England and Wales, which can be followed on these two NMM charts:- VT 06Z http://www.unibas.ch/geo/mcr/3d/mete...2/PFAEGQ06.PNG VT 18Z http://www.unibas.ch/geo/mcr/3d/mete...2/PFAEGQ18.PNG (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/booty.w....htm#PVAregion) Back in February we had another rainy high thanks to an upper cold pool, http://www.wetterzentrale.de/archive...ka20040217.gif Jon. Yes- so did we in Dorset at 1130 as I was up a ladder getting the ISS sorted. I was very surprised in that at 0830 the local weather centre was saying that the morning drizzle stuff was about to clear my area. Did it heck for i got really soaked! My station is just about sorted- the wind speed got to a dizzy 2 mph at one stage. |
