Well i get annoyed when the news anchor says to Ron Bonnet (the sports guy)
"and now with news of a Record breaking 49th win for Arsenal and a win for England in the one day series, here's the sport with Rob" The forecasters tend to get a patronising comment that insinuates that the weather bears a direct relation to a daily horoscope or that the only weather that the smug newsreader is interested in is sunny, mild, warm, dry, etc.. If the forecaster scowled more and on occassions, swore at them then maybe they would stop "jockeying" the forecast brian aberfeldy 65% snow disruption zone "Richard" wrote in message ... I realise that you can have a more relaxed style at times, but let it get too 'loose' and when something really important is due, it gets lost in the 'noise'. Martin. |

Unfortunately, I doubt if you can get a public-facing media job these days without passing the "idle chit-chat" test. ![]() -- Dave |

Do weathermen get upset when a newsreader reveals the essence of the forecast? More likely when the newsreader totally Misinterprets the forecast and missleads the public who then think the "weatherman/woman" got it wrong. |
