Default Boscastle flood update

Thanks for all the feedback on The Boscastle Floods Special Issue of The
Journal of Meteorology. Many uk.sci.weather members purchased this as a one off
and your emails have all been appreciated. There are a few remaining copies
left of this special issue which can be acquired online at
www.journalofmeteorology.com.

Please keep you pictures, severe weather reports and research coming into the
Editorial Office.

Best wishes

Hmmm... tempted, but: £7.49 (incl. p&p).

Good to see you take online payments though - unlike "Weather"
(I'm getting far too lazy to write & post cheques, in me old age).

Dave,

I did notice that you could pay 'Weather' via a bank transaction on-line,
although I just wrote a cheque again, maybe next time. So far 'touch wood',
I haven't had a problem purchasing via the internet, but tend to avoid
letting windows remember passwords and keep upto date all the virus, spyware
and the like software.

Weather eye issue 16 comes out tomorrow and there is an article on
Boscastle with the front cover a dramatic aftermath picture and a Bernard
Burton excellent satellite picture on the back cover. There is also an
article about whether the SW is prone to such flash floods by the very
informative Tudor Hughes. There is much more beside including remarkable
glacier retreats from Switzerland and a look back at the 1960s and is by far
the best issue so far. Price £2.50.
