Doesn't seem to anyone posting from the North-West of England. I'm about
12 miles from Blackburn, & it's been a bright sunny day, about 46F (at a guess) with a cool northerly breeze. I was most surprised to see the pictures of snow in the SE, on BBC News. |

Hi Geoff, not much to post about here on the Wirral over the last week or so as there has been no lying snow and only light snow/sleet showers throughout this current cold spell, best regards, Alan -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |

I was most surprised to see the
pictures of snow in the SE, on BBC News. Was there a degree of exaggeration there in the reporting? I'll leave it for the guys from Kent to comment. It's just that watching them dig out a Land Rover from the snow of no great depth was slightly unbelievable. (Speaking as an owner previously). -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. |

As I understand it, on Fri, 04 Mar 2005 02:32:58 +0000, David Mitchell
reported this: I was most surprised to see the pictures of snow in the SE, on BBC News. Was there a degree of exaggeration there in the reporting? I'll leave it for the guys from Kent to comment. I did think it was a little OTT, especially if they could switch the vehicle into 4-wheel drive.... |
