For christ sakes its Metcheque and Two that are distorting the truth with
their ability to make forecast up to 30 years ahead. If they are ever
criticised the PC brigade come along and personally attack the individual
who had the temerity to mention their abject failure.
That stuff about Neil and D-Day I believe he apologised at the time for
which is more than Metcheque and TWO ever did for their dishonest claims.

As I believe many of the contributors that use this NG are generally
middle-class I'd wager they'd all been Monty Python fans and therefore know
the true meaning of reverance ....yeah.

Well simply this, there are many professionals of one sort or another
frequent here.
I am absolutely convinced of that.

Well I'm no professional at anything, and call me middle class and I'll come
round and smash your windows matey... with this fork on the end of a
pole... (if you know who Monty Python were inspired by, then you'll know
what that nonsensical line came from).

I wasn't aiming to be derogatory when I mentioned "the middle classes".
Again I was pointing out that there has been many an irreverent view that
we've all heartily laughed at, that could just as well be seen as insulting
and lacking respect and in many cases was!
Basically lets not get too, out of our prams.

Let me toss in a totally off topic hand grenade here.

I fail to understand why class discrimination is any less reprehensible than
discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, sexual orientation or
religion. Can somebody enlighten me please?

What are you wittering on about. The middle classes are mentioned all the
time as a group in all political circles. How can pointing out a good
salary, great pension and self esteem be seen as derogatory?

Just take the BBC

But he's obsessed to the point of being a parody himself.

Then again, he's in good company here.
