Default [WR] Distant Lightning - Essex

Tom,

Yes but not that often.

Have a look at these photos I took of the Cb clouds in the distant before it
got too dark- first one digitally enhanced to make them more visible. 2nd
one was taken when it was dark - its a 30 second exposure.

Don't seem as active - but they are still dischargin occasionally and my
Strikealert is picking some of them up. Question - lastet Avbrief shows some
interesting development - Norfolk -is it Anaprop again or actual storms ?

Can you still see lightning Mark?

My friend in Danbury says there are no clouds at all.

No problems George - one of those things you have to spot first then

start
watching - I just caught one by accident. Some of them are now nice

long
C-C strikes which are pretty. There is a long row of Cb clouds - and

there
will be no activity for a couple of minutes then one will discharge and

then
some of the others within 1 second or so - how are they electrically

linked
?

I have been watching lightning for around 40 minutes now from a line

of
Cb
clouds way way in the distance to the N-West of here.

Which prompted me to look out of the window and sure enough there was

the
lightning on the NW horizon

All the best
