Cheers Ken.
After delving a bit more I've come up with this link http://www.metoffice.com/bookshelf/clouds/cl7/ so now I'll have hours to spend learning my cloud types. Looking out of the window right now and all I see is fair-weather cumulus (abbreviation?) Thanks again. Tony "Ken Cook" wrote in message ... tony_powell wrote in message ... Tony Fair weather cumulus would normally be Cu hum, i.e. Cumulus humilis, or possibly Cu med, Cumulus mediocris, depending on the vertical extent. We have a couple of oktas here along with very good visibility and a deep blue sky right down to the horizon. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, Surrey, 556 ft. |
