Thanks Though I always get the AZ flag mixed up with the North Vietnamese flag... ;^} I've got a feeling that there'd be a lot of the "Boat People" that'd be a tad ticked at you. It was the R.V.N. , Republic of Vietnam (The South) that had similar Colors to the Arizona State Flag. My addled brain was thinking of this one for the Viet Cong , but it had swapped the yellow and the red. I shall send it to bed early... http://flagspot.net/images/v/vn-cong.gif We've had some fairly decent volcanic sunsets in the Pacific Northwest since the big belch of the Kasatochi volcano in the Aleutians early last August. http://www.avo.alaska.edu/activity/Kasatochi.php That's quite a "Burp" ! Not Pinatubo class like we saw in the early '90s, but still nice. Looks like you are getting some of the aerosols down your way as well. Pinatubo was a Pretty Pain! Made for some spectacular Sunsets, but lowered the contrast and resolution for Astronomy. I don't know if the "Rays" are due to Volcanic Aerosols. Around here it's not unusual to have high altitude dust just from the winds and updrafts. Crazy Ed |
