Default Great kite flying weather [1/1]

We've had some unstable weather lately. Not much actual rain (my garden
could do with some) but plenty of kites playing in the thermals.

Nice Shots. They look like a cross between a Giant Swallow and a
Vulture.

I've never watched vultures; I'm hoping for a trip to Gryphon country in
the autumn. I need a longer lens for good kite pictures, as they aren't
daft enough to dive from rooftop height!

Here's a Vulture with a 210mm Lens. I've had'em close enough that at that
focal length they were larger than the image area.

When the wind blows, Vultures drop down to localize their Meal so
there is no way of really knowing as it didn't land nearby so I couldn't ID
the "Dearly Departed".

I have just ordered a camera with more zoom.
That will make it start to rain. My garden needs the rain!
